Join us in the garden at Fig and Flower for a charming evening celebrating summer stories and seasonal blooms. Enjoy light refreshments, make your own bouquet, and mingle with local authors Kate Myers and Michelle Douglas in our backyard oasis.
The Salty Girl Bookmobile will be parked out front with a curated selection of garden-themed romances, thrillers, and more — perfect for your next summer read.
Our stem bar will be set up for you to pick your favorite local blooms to take home.
Tickets are $12 and include:
– Light refreshments
– Author meet & mingle
– 10% off in-store shopping
Stem bar and books not included in ticket price.
Kids under 10 welcome to attend for free.

Kate Myers is the bestselling author of Excavations and Salty. She’s also written for Self, Elle, and BuzzFeed. Excavations is being turned into a TV series on Peacock starring Amy Poehler. She lives in Annapolis with her daughters, husband and dog, YoYo.
Michelle Douglas is the author of Don’t Wear Shoes You Can’t Walk In: A Field Guide for Your Twenties. She is a former marketer, a journaling enthusiast and a student of life, sharing her learnings and advice through contributions to many outlets and on Instagram at @fieldguidefortwenties. A native of Florida and transplant from Atlanta, Michelle currently lives in Annapolis with her husband and daughters.
